Threaded Drill Rods
Threaded drill rods form the main energy-transmission section of a threaded top hammer drill string, carrying impact and rotation from the rock drill toward the bit. SPM supplies rods for R25, R28, R32, R35, T35, T38, T45 and T51 thread systems, with different rod specifications and connection combinations for varied drilling setups.

Selection starts with the thread system, rod specification, connection combination and length. The rod must match the bit and other drill-string components on both ends. Longer rods can reduce the number of connections in a drill string, while the rod diameter and section should be selected according to the drilling system and working conditions.
